Welcome spring, welcome April! This month I want to share with all of you all of my spreads for the month of April. I added a couple new pages I am really excited about! Without any further ado, here come the pictures… (You can find all my supplies at the bottom!)
I absolutely loved how the word “April” turned out, especially with the little flower as the i-dot. I used my edding brush pens (the best!) and outlined the letters after! The quote seemed to fit with a month that starts off with a fool’s day…
“The greatest lesson in life is to know that even fools are right sometimes.”
– Sir Winston Churchill
So, yes my gratitude log is very nerdy 😄 My best friend and I started thanking “Thor” after an insane Marvel movie marathon, it kinda stuck. Anyway, I wanted to call my gratitude log a little different every month…
Word of the Year – ENERGY
I am still lettering a quote with my word of the year “energy” every month. I love that it reminds me of the word and gives me new energy every month!
“The energy of the mind is the essence of life.”
I am joining two Instagram challenges this month:
- #PlanWithMeChallenge by @boho.berry, @tinyrayofsunshine, and @prettyprintsandpaper
- @HPLettering Challenge by @calligraphynerd and @amandakammarada
I am very excited to get started with both! Especially practicing my handlettering with all those charms and spells from the HPLettering challenge – nerd heaven!
What to Do When I Have 5/10 Minutes
Another new spread, more universal and not strictly for the month of April, is my checklist for when I have 5/10 minutes. Especially in the mornings before I leave for work I find myself with a couple minutes on my hand. I don’t want to leave yet because I’d be getting into work too early and I can’t really start any “bigger” projects. Checking back on this page I hope I get something productive done every morning.
Any more ideas for the empty spots?
I have red hair and I love it! But colored red hair is quite a lot of work if you don’t want to spend all your money at the hairdressers. I decided to track all the times I wash my hair and use a special conditioner (every other week). My awesome hairdresser, Hasime, mixed this special conditioner (with my color pigments) that keeps my hair bright red way longer than normal. I will also put down my appointments with Hasime to cut, color, or both. I hope to extent my bright red even longer this way!
So here you have it – my April 2017 setup!
